Keeping things lively and making things happen is my own recipe for business success.
I am motivated by results, preferring to work with an active, hands on approach.
It is my strong belief that all businesses are about people, that’s both sides of the coin, if you look after your people, by showing them recognition and appreciation, you will create a strong and united team culture, this in turn means that they will treat your customers in the same way, therefore valuing others creates value.
Being a part of the Fire Brigade was an absolute dream job, I loved it and everything it stands for, helping people unconditionally when they needed it most, was an absolute privilege.
Leading a team, helping others to develop themselves, was equally rewarding.
I always went home at the end of every shift knowing that I had made a big difference to someone elses life, a big personal motivator for me during my career.
So much so, that after leaving the fire service these were the key areas that I continued to look for in any potential new business venture.
